You will need:
A box cake mix. We used chocolate.
1 can of frosting room temp. Again, we used chocolate.
3-4 bars of baker's chocolate to melt. (I didn't have any on hand so I used semi-sweet chocolate chips-a whole large bag.)
Bake your cake as directed on the box.
When the cake comes out of the oven you can get right to work breaking it up.
Just take a fork and start digging.
After it was all crumbled up we dumped it in a bowl.
It will be easier to mix in the frosting this way.
Now add the whole can of frosting to the cake.
Stir it up real good.
You can let it sit for a minute and cool down
so you can touch it, if it's too hot.
Once it's cooled enough, start to shape it into balls
and put them onto wax paper.
Chocolate meatballs....mmmm.
Throw'em in the frig to firm them up a bit.
Once they are good and chilled, start to melt the chocolate.
When the chocolate is melted, remove them from the frig.
Drop one ball in at a time.
Put them back on to the wax paper once they are completely covered in chocolate. Have someone on sprinkle duty so you can keep dipping.
When you're all done dipping them, put them back in the frig.
Once the chocolate is nice and firm they are done!
Look at how moist they are! Sooo delicious!
You can get sooo creative with these.
Try different flavors and colors!
I know we're gonna!
