Homemade salt dough ornaments

This is our second post for our 12 Days of Christmas posting marathon!

We made salt dough ornaments, thanks to the inspiration I found over at Libbie Grove Design. She made it look so easy! Guess what? It was! We loved it so much and had so much fun with the dough that I think we might make some more! One of the things we did different was we baked them. We popped them in the oven at 200 degrees for 3 hours. Then we let them sit out over night on the counter, just to finish off the drying process. So to finish off our Christmas inspired art project we painted some and colored others with markers. Yes, markers. It worked really well. Just a little tip for any one who might want to avoid a painty mess. For directions on the entire process and great photos, check out  Libbie Grove .

To give you an idea of how the markers worked out on the dough, check out,
the mitten and the snowman with the red and green scarf.
Oh, and the cute little butterfly.

where-with shall it be salted...?
