Homemade Marshmallows and S'mores

Well, it's that time of year! The campfire, warm nights, s'more eatin', time of year.
I haven't made any marshmallows in a few months, so I am excited to start stocking the pantry with those soft, pillow like, squares again.

Once you have made  marshmallows as directed follow the steps below.

You will not be adding any food coloring to these. Just leave them pure white.
A 9x13 pan or the next size down will accept all the "fluff". The smaller the pan, the thicker the marshmallow.
The recipe is super easy. Please get the recipe here and follow the directions.

When your marshmallows have set up after a few hours it's time to cut them out.

Take your marshmallow out of the pan. It will be easier to cut that way.

Cut out your squares with a pizza cutter. 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch is a good size. You can make them any size you want if you have something specific in mind.

Make sure to coat all sides of the marshmallows with powdered sugar.

You are ready for toasting and roasting! Store them in a jar to keep them fresh!

Don't forget to use homemade graham crackers! Follow my maple graham cracker directions except, substitute the maple syrup for honey. So good!

Make your s'more.........................................................................................

S'morumptious!

    1. Thank you Lisa! One of my favorite things about these marshmallows is how they bounce off the table....

  3. All of this looks so tasty! And I would so much prefer to make my own so I know what is in it. I tried once to make my own marshmallows, but let's just say that they didn't quite turn out how they were supposed to LOL.
I would love for you to share your recipes in our recipe hop. It will be open until midnight Wed. and is a weekly event beginning each Sunday at 7pm. Hope to see you there! I'm visiting you from the Homestead hop ☺

  4. I'll have to give your marshmallow recipe a try. The ones I make are too soft for toasting over the fire, but are excellent in hot cocoa. I'd love to have homemade ones for all those campfires this summer. Thanks for sharing!
